The Best Start Possible
Training is crucial for puppies 8-20 weeks old, even though vaccination standards make it difficult to accommodate that need. This program is designed to eliminate this problem while giving you & your dog the best possible start in life together.
While many people rush into teaching basic commands, we focus on instilling the numerous soft skills necessary for your pup to thrive. The Puppy Steps program will dramatically improve your puppy’s critical thinking & problem solving abilities, focus & attention, general confidence, environmental stability, social etiquette, spatial awareness, bite inhibition, and so much more! And we do all of this through two avenues: play and socialization.
The Two Corneerstones of a Strong Foundation
Play is not just a source of fun; it’s the single most effective way for animals to learn, both in nature and under our care. Well-structured playtimes allow your puppy to practice crucial motor-skill based behaviors, social interactions, and self-discipline. All of this preparation comes in very handy for their future interactions with you and the world.
Socialization is just as important. A puppy that has been exposed to many different people, dogs, animals, and environments is far more likely to adapt well to various situations and overcome challenging experiences. Proper socialization exercises at a young age make your pup less prone to fear or anxiety, more confident in new settings, and far less likely to exhibit aggressive behaviors later on in life. Proper socialization is absolutely invaluable for healthy rearing.
